Mobile 360° surveillance system for day and night use
“MoSiS” is a compact, robust and easy-to-operate optical system providing comprehensive 360° monitoring of the immediate vicinity. It uses uncooled infrared cameras (microbolometers) ensuring consistently good image quality by day and night.
As the bolometer technology requires no complex mechanical systems such as cooling machines, the system is extremely stable and operates completely passively. Besides the sensor system, the image processing and visualization units are the major components. The image processing unit analyzes the environment at a rate of 29 Hertz. Arriving persons or vehicles are recognized automatically and displayed in the panoramic image of the person on watch. Several of these systems can easily be interconnected to form a dense monitoring network. Due to its high stability, low weight and high energy density, a fuel cell is the appropriate solution for energy supply. As MoSiS operates without emissions and the fuel cell works almost silently, this combination can easily be camouflaged. The EMILY fuel cell, as well as the JENNY fuel cell, have already been used in combination with SFC Power Manager 3G to supply MoSiS with reliable off-grid power.
