After you enjoyed the El Cipres El Salvadorian coffee experience with us in the past few days, we have chosen this new crop for you, also from El Salvador, from a different region at an altitude ranging between 1300-1400 meters above sea level, from the beautiful Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range.
El Carmen Estate is one of the main regions for producing specialty coffee in Central America, where its farms have been managed by the long-standing Antonio Alfaro family for nearly a hundred years. Four successive generations have been cultivating coffee until today.
60% of the coffee cherry trees there grow slowly under the shade, and age at a slower rate, which helps the coffee cherries ripen evenly and contributes to the concentration of natural sugars and the enhancement of coffee notes..
